01 · Why Green Air

Driving independence. Championing sustainability. Building resilience.

Three principles guide every system we design, and every recommendation in this proposal. They’re also why we do this all under one roof — one company, one warranty, one phone number.

01

Energy independence.

Most “energy upgrades” just make you 20% more efficient at depending on the grid. We design systems that disconnect you from utility risk entirely — through inflation cycles, blackouts, rate hikes, and outages. With a properly designed system, your home stays powered when others don’t.

02

Environmental sustainability.

Solar generation, LFP storage, low-GWP refrigerants, CO₂ heat pumps for water heating — every component is selected to cut your carbon footprint, not just your power bill. Whether you’re hedging inflation or chasing complete carbon neutrality, the design respects both.

03

Financial resilience.

At 6.7% utility inflation, your bill doubles every 11 years. Owning your generation isn’t environmentalism — it’s hedging. The system pays for itself in years; the savings compound for decades. Plus: one contract, one warranty, one team to call when something needs service.

WHY YOUR SYSTEM IS SIZED THIS WAY
Includes electrification of 87 therms / month of gas HVAC and water heating into electric load.
Your system isn’t just offsetting today’s electric bill — it’s covering the gas you’ll stop burning. Your existing 80% AFUE furnace and gas water heater consume roughly 87 therms per month combined. We’ve converted that into ~580 kWh / month of new electric load and built solar + storage to absorb it. That’s why the kWdc number above is larger than a “solar-only” quote you might have seen elsewhere — this is true grid-independence math, not a paper offset.
Conversion: 87 therms × 29.3 kWh/therm × (0.80 furnace AFUE ÷ 3.5 heat pump COP) ≈ 580 kWh/mo
04 · Equipment

Every component, chosen on purpose.

We don't sell what we wouldn't install in our own homes. Here's exactly what's going on yours, and why.

Solar

Maxeon MAX6 Modules + Sol-Ark Hybrid

USA-Inverter · 40-yr Module Warranty

Maxeon panels degrade just 0.25% per year — they retain 88% of their original output at year 40, longer than the warranty on most competitors. Paired with Sol-Ark’s USA-built hybrid inverter, your system can island from the grid in milliseconds during an outage and keep running without any user intervention. A bonus most homeowners don’t know about: this combination can effectively turn a 200-amp service into a 400-amp service through solar + battery, eliminating the cost and red tape of a traditional utility upgrade.

Renon Extreme LV ESS

8 modules · 40 kWh total · LFP

Renon's Extreme LV uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells — the same chemistry trusted in critical infrastructure for its safety record and cycle life. The modular 5 kWh format means we size your storage exactly to your independence target without paying for capacity you won’t use. Coupled to the Sol-Ark hybrid inverter listed above, the system is grid-forming: it islands during outages within milliseconds and can re-energize your home from a dead grid without external generation.

Samsung VRF Heat Pump System

Variable Refrigerant Flow · R-32

VRF zoning lets you heat one part of the house and cool another simultaneously — and only run the equipment as hard as each zone actually needs. R-32 refrigerant is one-third the global warming potential of R-410A. Aidoo Pro Wi-Fi gives every zone full app control.

SANCO2 CO2 Heat Pump Water Heater

CO2 refrigerant · all-electric

SANCO2 uses CO2 (R-744) — a natural refrigerant with a global warming potential of 1, vs ~2,000 for typical R-410A. It heats domestic hot water more efficiently than gas at almost any climate Green Air services, and pairs cleanly with the rest of your electrified system.

07 · What customers ask us

The questions we hear most often.

Honest answers to the questions that come up on every walkthrough. For more, see the full Green Air presentation.

Will my house have power when the grid goes down?
Yes. With a properly designed system, you have power even when others don’t. The Sol-Ark inverter automatically islands from the grid in milliseconds, and your battery carries the load until the sun comes back up.
Will my home heat and cool properly with a heat pump?
Yes. When a heat pump is sized to your home’s actual load, it heats and cools efficiently and effectively across our climate zone. The idea that “heat pumps don’t work well” is simply a myth from the older equipment generation.
Can you turn my 200-amp service into a 400-amp service?
Yes. We leverage the solar + battery system to provide higher service capacity to your home without involving the PUC or paying for a traditional service upgrade. This alone can save tens of thousands.
Can I control everything through an app?
Yes. Almost every piece of equipment Green Air installs offers monitoring and control through an app — solar production, battery state of charge, individual HVAC zones, EV charging, water heating. Full visibility from your phone.
Are there incentives for decarbonizing my home?
Yes. Several federal, state, and utility credits/incentives apply to projects like this. Eligibility varies, so we recommend confirming with your CPA or tax preparer before counting on any specific number. We don’t bake them into your proposal price.
Will my home have power and heat during an earthquake?
Yes — because your heating no longer relies on a gas line that can rupture. Stored energy onsite continues running your heat pump and essential loads within reasonable limits, independent of utility infrastructure.
